Who Are We ?
Wayne County Engineering and Robotics is a nonprofit organization established through the Wayne County Community Foundation located in Honesdale Pennsylvania. It is comprised of grades 9-12 students and adult volunteers / mentors who have integrated a grades 6-8 starter program. We participate in FIRST (For Inpiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) which is a worldwide robotics organization that include thousands of teams with hundreds of thousands of students. Our engineering and robotics program is the regions premier STREAM2 program that encourages student innovation and fosters well-rounded life skills including self-confidence, communication, and leadership. As a non-profit organization running a high-budget program, we rely directly on sponsor donations; both in-kind and financial, to continue utilizing and updating technology advancements each year

Our Goals ?
We want to challenge our abilities, network with other teams, learn robotics, construct a robot, and compete against schools nationally. Currently, we are fundraising to get the necessary funds to register for the "FIRST" competitions, secure transportation, purchase new electronics and parts, and promote the spirit of FIRST through “Gracious Professionalism “ !

More Important than competitive success and awards:
Our members realize the values of STREAM2 (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, Mathematics, and Manufacturing) while gaining a greater respect for the benefits of a challenging education. Our organization gives students the opportunity to work alongside industry professions and build foundations essential to engineering such as those in machining, manufacturing, design, production, testing, CAD design, programming (computer and machining), business, electronics, automation, work ethics, problem-solving, and soft skills.
